Jaci Sings Tonight At The RNC!
Remember to watch Jaci perform tonight at the Rebublican National Convention. You can see her perform live on CSPAN or tune in on the net here.

CNN reports that Jaci will be one of the performers at The 2004 Republican National Convention which will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City August 30 through September 2, 2004. It is rumored that Jaci will perform the same night as the President's speech. Other performers lined up for the convention are the Gatlin Brothers, Dexter Freebish, Dana Glover, Donnie McClurkin, Sara Evans, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Johnny Lang, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack, and Michael W. Smith

Happy Anniversary, Jaci & Darren!
One year ago today, Jaci Velasquez married Darren Potuck (of the band AutoVaughn), in Nashville, TN. Wow, how time flies! No doubt this has been an exciting and busy year of growth for the Potucks. Sith's prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless their marriage and that they will experience many more anniversaries together.

"Beauty Has Grace" is in, "Kensaltown" is out!
Today, Jaci's husband, Darren Potuck, posted on the JSA Zone that the upcoming album will not be titled "Kensaltown" as first reported by Jaci herself. Darren also stated that Jaci will inform us once they decide on a new title. What brought about the change? At this point I don't know, but I will keep you informed as more info surfaces. Personally, I really liked the title "Kensaltown" because it had a very cool vibe that seemed to match the new direction Jaci is going.

Update: (8/9/04) Jaci has informed us (via JSA Zone) that her Label was concerned that people would confuse "Kensaltown" with "Tinsel Town" so she has changed the title to her favorite lyric in the song "This Love" which is "Beauty Has Grace."

Update 2: (8/16/04) Jaci has informed us (via JSA Zone) that her Label has changed the release date. A new date has not been given, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

"Kensaltown" - Jaci's New Album
Jaci once again popped-in at the JSA Zone message board today to set the record straight about the title of her new album that will be released November 9, 2004. Yesterday it was reported that her new album would be titled, "Tinsel Town", but Jaci herself reports to her fans today that the title will be "Kensaltown", after the town and studio where she recorded and wrote the album.

Here's what Jaci had to say: "Uh oh. Um, the record is actually called "Kensaltown." That is the part of London I recorded and wrote the songs, and the studio is called Kensaltown."

New album, new sound, new look. We are SO looking forward to November! Go Jaci!

Jaci's "Milagro" Nominated for a Latin Grammy!
The 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY(R) Awards nominations were announced today at a celebrity-filled press conference attended by international media at The Mayan in Los Angeles and "Milagro" by Jaci Velasquez has been nominated in the category of Best Female Pop Vocal Album (For a solo vocal performance by a female artist. Albums Only.) The 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, set for Sept. 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will be broadcast live by the CBS Television Network from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT and hosted by George Lopez. Jaci Performs For The Troops!
Jaci was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky today, performing for U.S. soldiers who have recently returned home from combat. President Bush, who is also a fan of Jaci's, was there to address the troops, but unfortunatly missed Jaci's performance. Here is what The President had to say about Jaci:

"Laura and I regret the fact we didn't get here in time for the entertainment. We want to thank Lane Brody and Mark Wills and Darryl Worley and Jaci Velasquez, for your work, your care, and your support of the United States military."

Jaci Receives a Billboard Latin Music Award Nomination!
DLo chimes in with the news: Jaci has received a Billboard Latin Music Award nomination for Best Pop Album Female for "Milagro". The awards will be presented April 29 in Miami. The finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards are based on sales and radio airplay data used in compiling the weekly Billboard charts dated Feb. 15, 2003-Feb. 7, 2004. The honors will be presented April 29 at the Miami Arena in Miami. The event is the finale of the annual Billboard Latin Music Conference, set for April 26-29 at the Eden Roc Resort Miami Beach. Changes for Darren Potuck and a.m.DRIVE
Jaci Velasquez's husband, Darren Potuck, will be making some changes in regard to the future of a.m.DRIVE and his own career. Here is a portion of the band's post from their official site:

Darren and Andy will be moving south to Nashville, TN where they will begin recording their debut album for their new band "Potuck".
